Being part of the IHG family of Hotels and Resorts, the safety and well-being of our guests and community is paramount.
Due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, InterContinental Hayman Island Resort has been affected by the challenges facing tourism and hospitality around the country. As this situation changes frequently, there may be an unforeseen impact on some resort services due to reduced staffing affected by isolation requirements. We ask for your patience during these challenging times as we continue to operate and deliver the best possible resort experience for our guests.
Please contact our Front Office team via Instant Service immediately if you or your travelling partner:
Are a close contact and have received advice to isolate
Are feeling unwell or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms
Please visit the Queensland Government’s Health website for the latest health and travel updates.
InterContinental Hayman Island Resort reserves the right to cancel the booking or deny access to anyone who chooses to travel to InterContinental Hayman Island Resort within a mandated self-quarantine period, is found to be untruthful about the above declaration or does not comply with our Conditions of Entry. If you do arrive on Hayman Island within a mandated self-quarantine period, you will be immediately transferred to our Medical Centre for assessment prior to being moved to a quarantine accommodation facility for a period of time as directed by the Medical Officer, at your own expense.
Thank you for your understanding and co-operation whilst we endeavour to protect our guests and community during this time. These are temporary measures, following the guidelines issues by the Australian Government and Queensland Government that are being reviewed on a daily basis and subject to change.

IHG Clean Promise
The resort remains committed to implementing additional health and safety measures in line with local jurisdiction and has adopted the IHG Way of Clean programme developed in conjunction with experts from Ecolab, a global leader in hygiene technologies and service.
These rigorous, new efforts are being led by IHG’s recently established Global Cleanliness Board. This group of IHG operations, health and safety, and guest experience colleagues are working with external specialists to understand best practices, define solutions and implement processes that address short term needs and are sustainable over the long-term.
