In 2020 Kiwi Collection Hotel has awarded InterContinental Hayman Island Resort as Best Hotel Comeback of the year. This award celebrates the resort’s reopening after its two-year closure following Cyclone Debbie, and the nine-figure restoration effort that saw every element of the guest experience re-evaluated and enhanced for the modern traveler. The resort has also been qualified as “one of Australia’s leading luxury resorts” by Kiwi Collection.

InterContinental Hayman Island Resort and Mulpha Australia Limited have proudly won the 2019 Environmental Excellence award at the prestigious UDIA (Urban Development Institute of Australia) Queensland Awards, in recognition of the resort’s incredible refurbishment following Cyclone Debbie in 2017. To win this award, Mulpha had to demonstrate the use and implementation of sustainable techniques and materials for this refurbishment.
