HAYMAN MARINA
TERMS, CONDITIONS, RULES & SAFETY REGULATIONS
Please read the following terms, conditions, rules and safety regulations carefully before entering Hayman Marina.

1. BOOKING & ARRIVAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prior bookings are required.
• No access to Hayman Marina will be permitted without a booking confirmation.
• All vessels entering the marina must be registered.
• Prior to arrival, vessel owners must provide current vessel insurance with Public Liability (P/L) coverage between AUD $10 million and AUD $20 million.
• The assigned berthing location will be determined in accordance with resort directives.
• Entry into the marina by any means constitutes acceptance of these terms, conditions, rules and regulations.

2. FEES & PAYMENT

• All charges must be paid prior to, or upon arrival at, the Marina Office.
• By pressing Accept, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined.
• Payment may be made by EFTPOS, Credit Card or Room Charge.
• Please note that credit card payments will incur a surcharge.
• An electricity usage fee of $0.41 per kWh is applicable.
• Electricity consumption will be billed separately upon departure, based on actual usage.
• The marina reserves the right to change rules, regulations and prices at any time without prior notice.

3. MARINA FACILITIES & SERVICES

The marina provides:

• Water tank refills (washing down of vessels is not permitted).
• Rubbish disposal.

Please note:

• There are no public restrooms available in the marina.
• There is no transportation provided between the resort and the marina.

4. RESORT ACCESS & GUEST CONDUCT

Hayman Marina is part of InterContinental Hayman Great Barrier Reef.

• Smart resort dress regulations apply.
• Gentlemen are required to wear collared shirts.
• Enclosed shoes or sandals are required.
• All crew, captains and guests must wear appropriate resort attire and remain presentable at all times.
• No person may reside overnight on a vessel within the confines of Hayman Marina without the consent of Marina Management.
• No animals are permitted in the marina or resort.
• Do not hang laundry out to dry in public view.
• Tenders, equipment and supplies must be stored on vessels and must not be left on pontoons, jetties, marina areas or other areas of the resort.
• Users must comply with all reasonable requests from marina staff relating to the safe and efficient operation of the marina.

5. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

The following activities are strictly prohibited within Hayman Marina:

• Use of Jet Skis and all other personal watercraft.
• Fishing.
• Swimming.
• Parties.
• Playing music within the marina. Music must be turned off.
• Discharging bilge or sullage water into the marina.
• Discharging dangerous, flammable, poisonous or noxious substances or refuse on or into the marina.
• Throwing refuse, garbage or plastic bags overboard.
• Leaving tenders, equipment or supplies on pontoons, jetties, marina areas or other areas of the resort.

Any vessel found to be discharging bilge or sullage water into the marina, or leaking fuel, will be asked to vacate the marina.

6. ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

• All marina users are responsible for protecting the surrounding environment.
• Refuse, garbage and plastic bags must be placed in the rubbish bins provided.
• You must ensure that your activities do not cause harm to the environment.
• Any environmental or pollution incident MUST be reported immediately to marina staff.
• Marina staff will determine any necessary steps to rectify the issue.
• All persons within the marina must comply with all applicable laws, including but not limited to:
  • Any law relating to environmental standards or pollution.
  • Any law relating to the use, operation and mooring of any vessel within the marina.

7. VESSEL, POWER & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Vessels must be maintained in seaworthy and smart condition.
• Owners on the visiting pontoon must ensure the safety of their craft at all times.
• Vessels moving within the marina must not proceed at a speed, or in a manner, that may endanger or cause nuisance to other users or vessels.
• Use of showers and toilets onboard while in the marina requires sufficient holding tank capacity.
• All electrical leads connecting to shore power must:
• Be tested by a qualified professional.
• Have a current and valid test tag displayed on the lead.
• All single-phase power leads must have a current rating of no less than 15 amps for safety requirements.
• Owners must ensure that no nuisance is caused by noisy, noxious or objectionable engines, apparatus or machinery.
• No maintenance or other work may be carried out on vessels if it causes nuisance or annoyance to others, or damage to any vessel or marina infrastructure.

8. RISK, LIABILITY & EMERGENCIES

• Entry into the marina and/or other areas of the resort is entirely at the risk of the vessel owners, their vessels, guests and contractors.
• The marina is not responsible for, and accepts no liability for, any damage or loss to such persons and/or their property in any circumstance.
• In the event of a fire or other emergency, the marina has the right, but not the obligation, to moor, re-berth or board a vessel in order to carry out necessary work.
• The resort and its employees shall have no liability in respect of any loss or damage to any vessel or its contents resulting from such action, even in the event of negligence on their part.
• Owners shall hold harmless and indemnify the resort and its employees in respect of any loss incurred.

By entering Hayman Marina, all vessel owners, captains, crew, guests and contractors acknowledge and accept these Terms, Conditions, Rules and Safety Regulations.
