  • How do I get to Hayman Island?

    After your direct flight from one of Australia’s major capital cities to Hamilton Island Airport, onward travel by boat, helicopter or private charter awaits you. All three luxury transfer options connect with commercial flights to gift a seamless journey to Hayman Island. Once you arrive to Hayman Island, one of our friendly team members will meet you at the marina to take you through a smooth check-in process.   • How much are the island boat transfers?

    Priced per direction AUD 120 per adult and AUD 60 per child (ages 5–11). The Island Return Boat are complimentary for children aged 4 years and under.

  • What if my flight is delayed to Hamilton Island?

    If your flight continues to Hamilton Island Airport on the same day, our vessel meets all arriving and departing flights. Please inform us as soon as you are aware of any delays.

  • I'm coming from Cairns, how do I get to you?

    East Air flies direct from Cairns to Hamilton Island (HTI). Alternatively, you can fly to Brisbane (BNE), then onto Hamilton Island (HTI).

  • Do you run a transfer from Daydream Island?

    No, please use the Daydream vessel to Hamilton Island Airport Marina by 12:00 PM. Upon your arrival at the airport, please proceed to the terminal, where our Guest Services Agent will meet you and assist you from there.

  • Can I visit Hamilton Island for the day during my stay?

    Yes, this is possible. Please note that our vessels travel to Hamilton Island daily between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. This service is available at an additional cost, priced per direction from AUD 120 per adult and AUD 60 per child (ages 5–11).

  • I live locally in Airlie Beach, how do I get to Hayman Island?

    As a Local, we offer twice daily Vessel Transfers from Coral Sea Marina on a set Timetable. Please reach out to the In-House Reservations Team for further details: hayman.reservations@ihg.com.

  • I am flying into Proserpine, how do I get to Hayman Island?

    Please be advised once you’ve landed at Proserpine Airport, you will need to make your own way to Coral Sea Marina (approx 45mins). There is Taxi, Airport Shuttle and Buses available from the Airport. Please visit the https://www.whitsundaycoastairport.com.au/ for further details on transport options into Airlie Beach. We offer twice daily Vessel Transfers from Coral Sea Marina on a set Timetable, please reach out to In-House Reservations Team for further details hayman.reservations@ihg.com.

  • What is the transfer schedule?

    Our vessel times are finalised 48 hours prior to the travel date, based on the incoming and outgoing flights at Hamilton Island Airport. We do not have a regular schedule secured for Hamilton Island.

  • I'm staying Reefsleep before/after, how do I get to Hayman Island?

    Please be advised that our vessel times do not align with the Reefsleep transfer schedule. We recommend that all guests spend a night on Hamilton Island before or after their Reefsleep experience to ensure a smooth connection.

  • I have a Wheelchair can you accommodate me on the Vessel?

    Yes, please ensure you are flying to and from Hamilton Island Airport (HTI). The Hamilton Island Airport Marina is Wheelchair friendly and supports ramps directly to the Vessel. This is not available from Coral Sea Marina via Proserpine Airport (PPP).

Food & Beverages

  • Is Room Service available 24/7?

    Room service is available daily from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM. Between 11:00 PM and 6:30 AM, a limited menu is available to ensure you can still enjoy a late-night bite.

  • Can my dietary requirement be accommodated?

    We strive to offer as many options as possible for our guests (VG, V, GF, GFO, DF, DFO, NF). When making your reservation or during your stay, please inform our team of any dietary requirements, and we will do our best to accommodate them.

    Please note that specially prepared meals for guests with allergies may still contain traces of allergens.

  • Can I bring my own alcohol?

    For the comfort and safety of all guests, we kindly ask that no outside alcohol, including duty-free purchases, be brought into the resort. Any alcohol you bring can be safely stored with our Front Office Management for the duration of your stay.

On the Island

  • When is the best time to visit Hayman Island?

    The Whitsundays’ tropical climate means warm temperatures year-round. However, April to November offers the most ideal conditions, with daily temperatures ranging from 25°C to 29°C and minimal rainfall. December to March brings higher humidity and occasional afternoon tropical storms – creating the perfect atmosphere for a peaceful retreat and complete disconnection.

  • When is stinger season? Do you provide any protection or precautions for it?

    Stinger season runs from November to May. During this period, we provide stinger suits for all watersports as well as at the beachfront. In the event of a jellyfish sting, our Security and Medical teams are on hand and prepared to provide first aid.

  • What mobile networks work best on the Island?

    Telstra is the best mobile network on the island. Please note that some more remote areas (for example, Blue Pearl Bay) may have very weak reception, even with this provider.

    However, we offer a high-speed Wi-Fi connection throughout our resort.

  • Do you have a business center where I can conduct a Zoom call?

    The Hayman Lounge is an air-conditioned area open to all guests. The Thomas Hayman Room, one of our meeting spaces that is normally reserved for private use, is available, subject to availability. Limited printing facilities are also available at the Resort Reception, 24 hours a day.

  • Are streaming services available in each room?

    While our TVs do not have built-in streaming services, all rooms are equipped with Chromecast so you can easily connect your own devices and enjoy your favourite shows and movies.

  • Can I come for a day visit?

    As a private island resort, we welcome only overnight guests with booked accommodation. This ensures a peaceful and exclusive experience for all our visitors.

    Guests travelling to Hayman Island onboard a private vessel can book a marina berth for a day trip or an overnight stay. Berth bookings are subject to availability and therefore are required to be confirmed by the Marina team before arrival at Haymanmarina@ihg.com.

  • What if I get sick? Is there a doctor available?

    Our island has a medical center with a nurse available daily from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
    If needed, our nurse can contact a doctor on the mainland to provide a more thorough consultation.

  • Is the resort wheelchair accessible?

    Paths throughout the resort are adapted for wheelchair access, ensuring ease of movement around the property.

    We also have two accessible room types on the island: the One Bedroom Accessible Suite Pool View and the Two Single Premium Accessible Lagoon View Rooms. Please note that these rooms do not have a bathtub; the bathrooms are equipped with stability rails.
